		<description>Thanks for this, Gary. I totally agree with your conclusion that we teachers need to make class fresh and exciting and truly meaningful. 

But I am not sure I agree with the point about what makes a meaningful life. If I am not mistaken, the main point of Homer&#039;s Odyssey is that a quiet life at home with your wife and children (and a Volvo?!) beats out a life of adventure by a long shot. This made a big impression on me when I was younger, and I am inclined to agree.</description>
