Freshman lefthander Michael Apple of Coppell improved to 5-2 on the season after he led the Richland College baseball team to a 9-6 victory over Brookhaven College on Saturday, April 10 in the teams’ second outing of three-game set.

The Ducks opened the series with a commanding 11-2 victory before dropping the final game 9-7.

Richland, which lost 8-4 to Panola on Monday, April 12, enters this weekend’s road series against Mountain View with a 22-21 record, having won nine of its last 13 games.
