Women’s soccer team improves to 6-2-1 with win over Brookhaven

The Richland College women’s soccer team received goals from five players en route to winning its second game in a row after blanking Brookhaven College, 5-0, on Tuesday to improve to 6-2-1 on the season.

Kaylyn Settle and Jordan Simpson of Mesquite, Lisette Gil of Dallas, Cassie Hoard of Richardson and Margaret Rodas of Garland were the goal scorers while Regina Martinez added three assists.

For Settle, who is ranked No. 37 in NJCAA Division III for total points at 16, it was the midfielder’s fourth consecutive game with at least one goal. Simpson is also ranked in the top 50 at No. 43 with 14 points.
