Kaylyn Settle of Mesquite scored a hat trick while leading the Richland College soccer team to an 8-0 home victory over Eastfield College in Metro Athletic Conference action on Tuesday.

Adding goals for the T-Ducks were Cassie Hoard of Richardson, Regina Martinez of Garland, Carrie Mendoz of Carrollton, Yanira Arteaga of Mesquite and Chelsea Palmer of Plano.

The win moves Richland (4-2), which moved from No. 9 to No. 7 in the latest NJCAA Division III rankings, to 2-0 in MAC play.

The T-Ducks will try to improve to 3-0 in conference action in a road game at 7 p.m. on Friday against Cedar Valley College.
