Richland College (RLC) recently received a grant to host Fulbright scholar, Anastasia Klenova, from Russia. Klenova began her work at RLC in mid-August and will work through May 2008. She is currently teaching several courses including an advanced-level Grammar and Reading course for ESOL students.
Klenova, a professor from Saratov State University, will be involved in many academic community activities to fulfill her scholar’s obligations. She will be speaking to several students groups and community groups such as the English Speaking Union of Dallas, Dallas Jewish Community Center, and others. She will also give a presentation about contemporary Russia and Russian society to the Dallas-Saratov Sister-Cities Committee. She previously worked on this committee and was instrumental in developing a joint partnership between Richland and Saratov State to offer online courses.
