Machine Operator program offered
Richland College has developed a Machine Operator program in response to a need voiced by the Dallas County Manufacturers’ Association through the Garland Chamber of Commerce.
A significant percentage of the workforce in the machining industry is approaching retirement age and the manufacturing community turned to Richland College to equip the next generation of workers.
With training and experience, the machine operator career path can lead to a position as a Computer Numeric Control (CNC) operator or a foundation to start a small business.
Potential students for the Machine Operator program must be at least 18-21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, and be willing to work in a manufacturing setting. The next class is scheduled to start in late May 2009. Call Ron at 972-276-1720 for more information.
I would like more information about the Machine Operator program and if there are any classes in reference to CNC (Computer Numerical Control). I am currently residing in Pontiac Mi 48340 at the address of 82# E.Beverly St., but I think I need to make a change. It is not just about the job market; I need a change of scenery, people, places,basically-a new life change. I would also be interested In some information about on-campus living or in proximity of the area. A website will be sufficient if you have the time. By the way, what part of Dallas is the school located. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Winona Benson
