Hi, all — wanted to catch you up on the District centralization plan process (which was on the agenda at yesterday’s Mar/Comm meeting). We will continue to address it at every meeting, but we’re not sure specifically of what’s on each agenda and Justin seems to just open the floor for discussion. We all collaborated on a DART bus ad, which let us choose our garage and change the art to have our college name, and it saved alot of money. It wasn’t the greatest art in the world (Anitra’s was better) but, it was a compromise and gets our name out there in a strong medium. Also, saw the new District billboards, which are awesome (see the homepage Game Design and CORE slides to view two of them). And, we discussed collaborating on promotional items and sponsorships, which will also save alot of money. I suspect those are the only things we can collaborate on, and now we’ll be focused on “how” (designing processes to make those things happen). Still some hurdles probably in future meetings, but so far, it’s going much smoother than expected. I felt really good about it yesterday. Am available to chat more about it, if you’re interested.

Lisa and Sharon were involved in a car accident yesterday afternoon, they are fine, we think, but going to get xrays this morning, they expect to be in late morning.

We are at work now…. both our backs were banged up. We were rear-ended while stopped for a school bus unloading. Things happen for a reason — if we had not been there to take the brunt of the hit, he would have hit a boy that was crossing 6 lanes of Spring Valley!

Hi, all. Kids and I are all feeling under the weather — sound like a family of frogs. Going to take them to the doc today and see if we can get some rest. Will be in tomorrow for Wall of Honor and Science Building opening planning with JJ.
